Summer Break: Yellowstone National Park

Salam and hello everyone!

Alhamdulillah, last month I had the opportunity to visit Yellowstone National Park right after I finished my field session in California. It was a rather quick visit, considering that my flight back to Malaysia was within a couple of days.

Yellowstone National Park has always been one of the places in the US that I wanted to visit... Unfortunately, we only managed to go to several infamous stops inside the national park because we were running out of time. There were a lot of hiking/walking to do and the weather was pretty cold too. Nonetheless, I am glad that I got to see most of the awesome stuffs like geysers, wildlife and more colorful geysers!

When I was walking to the Grand Prismatic Spring, I passed by an old man walking alone towards the parking lot. He walked very slowly with the help of  a walking stick he held firmly in his right hand. I watched him for a while until he was safely back in the bus. He was probably with a tour group, but he was definitely travelling all alone - with no family, no friends. It got me thinking; I am very fortunate that I am able to travel to places when I am still young. Other than struggling for my studies, I don't have much responsibilities on my shoulder that I have to prioritize. That uncle, on the other hand, possibly couldn't get to travel much during his youth because he had to take care of his family, sick wife, saving up for the sake of his children's education or maybe he just did not have enough money. It just hit me for a sec that I am very well blessed, and I should thank Allah more for all the pleasures I experienced in my life. Yes, I know that my interpretation might be wrong - the old uncle might just love travelling alone since he has a lot of money.

Here are a few pictures of the beautiful scenery of Yellowstone National Park. I couldn't find a picture of Old Faithful Geyser erupting (I have like 1000+ pictures in my camera from visiting Yellowstone). From my pictures, you can definitely tell that I am not a good photographer nor am I good at editing the pictures... But the places are still beautiful so you MUST go when you have enough money and are healthy!

I would love to go back after several years and explore the sides that I did not get to visit! :)
I would also like to recommend everyone to go visit Morning Glory - it is approximately 45 minutes walking from Old Faithful. They said it is the heart of Yellowstone!

So excited to be here!
Just a bison shitting right in front of me =__="

Look at the turquoise color!

The prettiest among all I visited.

Weirdly amazing.

Another turquoise pool!

Seems like there is a starfish inside the pool!

Another superb creation. SubhanAllah!
Words can't describe how beautiful this fountain is!
