Educamp TNB 2012 Part 3

Assalamualaikum. Bayani bash, everyone? ;)

This morning was still a discussion session. The topic was... What dyou know about Obama/Najib/Suu Kyi?
Okay. I was very quiet at that time. LOL. I read newspaper, but never take anything seriously into my mind. Never really remember any facts. But then, Cikgu Bad changed the topic and asked me about my Idol(female). Phew~ At last, that was a 'real' question! Haha. Then, they asked about things PM Najib has done to Malaysia. So, basically, here, they wanna see your political opinion. Bear in mind: Dont be so criticism. If you wanna doubt anything, you can, but think whether is it appropriate to say here (after all, you are applying for TNB's scholarship and it is under government.) Talking about me, I just kept my mouth shut all the time (Well, more than I talk 'coz I didnt know what on earth should I say nor did I want to throw it out loud) :P
Oh anyhoo, sebelum start with all these politics stuffs, we were asked one by one to tell what did we think of the crazy, overpiling assignments last night. I tried to think of something funny to say. Heh. Mengantuk laa >.<
Manusia memang mcm ni, duduk dalam dewan, "Oh, panasnya! Berpeluh laa". Bila dah dapat duduk dalam bilik ber air-cond, "Urghh. Awat sejuk sangat, ngantuk la plak. Selesa kot". Termasuk saya laa kan :| Can't help it.

So, then, cakap punya cakap, afternoon came ;) *ayat b.melayu*
We went downstairs, walking under the hot sunny day, to the cafeteria. Guess what? The lunch wasn't ready yet =.=" So we just wasting our time waiting for like, 20 minutes. Then, some very responsible boys went to ask the workers there WHERE IS OUR LUNCH?? Then, they said, "oh, it's not ready yet. be patient". However, clock already stroke close to 1.15 pm where we were already supposed to return to the Bilik Sejuk (Cikgu Bad told us). Lol. Some insisted to stay and wait, some went back to the rooms. Including me. Bcoz I am a punctual person, I always come early, I always finish my assignments before the deadlines. I just don't like people await me considering I also HATE TO WAIT FOR PEOPLE. Bukan nak naik lif tekan sendiri ke apa, tapi nowadays, susah oh nak cari org yg punctual. Susah sangatttt.

So, arriving at the room, there were around 3-4 of us. Then, in 10 minutes, everyone was there. Had a small talk with Cikgu Bad and suddenly, he said, 'Ok, makanan dah siap la". I immediately knew this was a test. A FREAKING TEST. Panas kot hati ni. Haha. Dahla jauh bilik aktiviti dengan kafeteria. TNB, TNB. After lunch & prayers, we came back and sat in a circle. Same like before, we talked on what happened and why did some of us come late. Which was more important? The delicious lunch or being punctual with the activity? So, despite the facts that we weren't given any schedules, you have to be on time la. Faci dah cakap pukul berapa dia nak kita ada, so ikut je. Makan tu tak pyh fikir sgt lah ek :) Kang penat nak jawab. Then, we were having a debate PLUS an interview on religious things. Phew~ Since I was number D1, I was the first one to be interviewed! Dang. I was just about to enter the room, pushing the door when a woman came and asked for the candidate number 1 from this group. Thank god I was there right at the time! Tee hee. So... The interview was like this>>>

1) Whats your name? so, you're the D1, huh? (Answered & showed her my tag)
2) Introduce yourself
3) How many times have you 'khatam' Quran?
4) Define 'honesty' (tambahlah ayat2 islamic)
5) What d'you think of people who give advice but don't potray it through their own actions? (bagi hadis/ kata2 ulama'. To play safe, If tak pasti, takyah la cakap nama Ulama' tu. Sebut je 'menurut kata ulama'.. Sebab aku dah salah :| Hee, malu2. Nasib baik dah sampai rumah baru perasan :P
6) Dyou think you can adapt well living in western country? How would it be? What you think of 'Culture Shock'?
7) What is Mandi Wajib? Explain.
8) What do you know about Nikah Misyar? Explain.

* Avoid saying "I think", "I rasa". And start to practice saying "I BELIEVE". Because they'll question your words usage as well. Like, "Kenapa awak 'rasa' "? Terkebil2 nak jawab. Haha.

When I returned, the debate hadn't started yet. Then, we divided ourselves into SBPians and opposite(includes SMK, SMKA, SAM) with ratio of 9:4. WOAH.
The topics were:
*Researchs shown that SBPs students are more discipline compared to SMKs students. Debate.
*Researchs shown that SBPs students are less polite compared to SMKs students. Debate.
I sat there, terkulat2 nak jawab. Haha. Serious, semua lelaki macam active gila. I think I stood up only once or twice and the rest of the time, I just followed the debate. Oh yes. Be patient, again, I tell you. Don't use harsh / unacceptable / inappropriate words. Because the Faci will do his best to stir up the condition. He did a lot of provokes. Psycho sangat! Hehe.

Ok penat nak type :)
Sorry, this story has to be continued in the Educamp TNB 2012 Part 4 :|
I want to jot down everything while the moments are still in my mind. Plus, people keep asking me to tell them about my experiences and I am tired of typing the same thing all over again. So, If people wanna know, read this, okay? :) It'd be more details, though.

Educamp TNB 2012 Part 2

Assalamualaikum & hello everyone :)

So, continuing about the Educamp TNB 2012..

Then, night came. We were told to go to this building block B room number 6(for my group). Some went to block C. Whatever. So, I decided to wear Baju Kurung considering small talks about the interview tonight. Despite the effort I put into writing essay about Myself, ( We need to submit the essay by 8.30 pm. Y'know what was my essay title? 'Getting To Know Si Comel. =.=" Pfft. I cant believe I put that title. Sounds cheesy.) We were actually just having a group discussion. Anyway, that night, our Facis- Pak Mat and Cikgu Bad were with us in this damn cold room. A classroom-sized room with 12 airconds! Jimat lah sikit, 12 banyak sangat. Meh sumbang satu-dua dekat rumah I :P

So.. Here we sat in a circle (on chairs lah) of 16, and needed to talk about our family. Basically, they wanted to know about our family background. Blatantly, you'd see tears, silence, anger etc etc. That depends. But my advice is that  DON'T TALK TOO MUCH BAD THINGS ABOUT YOUR FAMILY. Can you imagine it? You're sharing one of your top secrets with people you just knew for less than 24 hours! That doesn't make sense to me! Emphasis on me. I don't blame anyone who tell the truth, but still, if it was me, I'd make it a secret. Hmmm. No offence. And please note that because this Educamp wants to test your EQ- EMOTIONAL QUOTIENT, the facis will do anything to make you angry and upset. So, nak buat apa je? Relax sudah. Tak payah nak emo- emo tau. Dia provoke, you just SMILE :D Dalam hati nak cakap apa benda pun, tak kisah lah.

Later on, after the gloomy discussion finished at about 12 midnight (already a new day), we were given four assignment! Phew~
1)Write a handwritten resume/CV (monologue: Oh, I can do this)
2)Write an essay why should you be chosen by TNB (monologue: Okayy, I can do this)
3)A 1000 pieces jigsaw puzzle (monologue: Hmm. I think I can do this. Yeah)
4)We were given Tepung Keladi, 2 packs of both Kacang Hijau & Soya along with some manila cards.
Instruction: Create A Building/ Project That Will Benefit TNB In The Future.

Sounds easy right considering we have 2 more days?? Not until we heard what Pak Mat said afterwards.
Pak Mat: I want all these 4 assignments to be completed & submit to me sharp at 8.00 am tomorrow. OMG! I was so sleepy and my shoulders aching T__T But, looking at all my teammates, they did 'inject' me some spirits to shrug off the sleepiness and start doing the project. At first, I was so excited to join the "R&D team". Bahaha. Aint it sounds cool? There were Khai, Yasir, Ismat, Hafizudden. So, they went on brainstorming about nuclear power plant, hydraulic, elecromagnetism, generator, transformer, and I just sat there like I didn't ever exist! Haha. Because it was Physics, man! Pfft. Then, I helped them 'bancuh' glue using the tepung keladi but it was too pekat. Nah, nevermind.

Then, I moved slowly to the puzzle team. Haha. Puzzle has always been my favourite. I enjoy doing it following the picture, not the Alphabet hints at the back of those 1000 pieces. So yeah. They teased me about swaping my place. Who cares? Let me do something I enjoy rather than trying to link all those physics terms inside my brain thinking whether did they make sense or not. Since I have shoulder problem since I was born, my shoulders started to ache again. I just wanted to lie on my back even for a while. Urghh. Now i regretted wearing baju kurung. If i wore trousers, okla jugak kan nak bersila ke lunjurkan kaki ke ape.

By 3.30 am, both our projects were done! Two individuals projects left! Righto! So, we tidied up the place and headed back to hostel. Yawn~ I prayed Isya' and then slept so wonderfully. Heaven. Then, on 5.30, I woke up. Showered and dressed up, while waiting for Subuh. Then, sitting on a chair trying to copy back my CV and write an essay. by 7.00 am, I was done. Phew~ I fell asleep again =.="

Educamp TNB 2012 Part 1

1.. 2.. 3.. BOOOM! "

LOL. Those precious fantabulous moments are something I cross my fingers never ever to forget. It was short- a camp of 3 days and 2 nights but it did give me ample of lessons to learn from. The camp started on 6 April till 8 April. A rad camp, though <3

*How did I apply for it?
Hmm, usually, right after SPM results are announced, the YTN's (TNB) website will be opened for scholarship application. This is the website: . You gotta create an account and start applying online. Then, after 1-2 weeks, the list of candidates shorlisted for the educamp is out. You have to check whether your IC is in the list or not. Anyhoo, they'll also send message to your cellphones asking you to check to know if you are shorlisted. (and actually, they only send to those who are successful. So you bet!)

*6 April 2012
I woke up at 5.30 a.m. like any other days. So after shower and breakfast, we straight away drove to Uniten, Kajang and arrived around 7.30 a.m. I was feeling so awestruck, anxious, excited, nervous and happy. All at once. I've got to be crazy. Usually, I'll sleep in the car because I am such a car-sick person but on that very day, I braced myself not to sleep. LOL! A lot of things were playing in my mind like some kind of movies. Haha. Whatever >.< Anyway, I was the first girl to have arrived. *BIG APPLAUSE* And was the first girl to register. Yay! Early bird catches worms, huh? Yup, 'coz I don't have to queue :)

Then, we were brought to the Hall- A basketball arena actually. It was so hot! There was no air-cond at all T__T I was sweating a lot I think my jubah soaked. So guys, don't wear baju kurung on the first day ;) You never knew what'd happen. We were required to find members of same birthday/birthplace and try to get to know them. Then, we were asked to form a huge circle (with girls total of 25 only -.- ) and started to play change-place. The facilitator will say like, "Those who wear baju kurung switch places!". So they have to swap places between them. It was funny as everyone was rushing to get places. Then, we were told to stand and walk following movements made by a guy as the loudness of songs filled the air.

Then, there came the most embarrassing moment >.< Oh yeah, before Jumaat prayer, we were divided to groups A-I and did our tags. Firstly, male representatives of each group were required to come to the middle and pretend like they were doing Karate/ Muay Thai stuff. My group member got to enter the final competition and ended up in second place. Awesome! And later, a female representatives were called. My teammates chose me (My group consists of 14 people of 2 girls only). OMG! I was so shy especially when my neighbour-cum-exclassmate was there too. But I still go thinking of it wasn't actually a camp, they were giving us some sort of scores, y'know! Guess what? We girls, had to do the chicken dance. Oh-oh. Like this but physical touch wasn't allowed (but i did several times, though and still entered the final :P ) >>>

That is pretty much about the ice-breaking session. But hey, you get to know more friends :) Well, I did.

I don't want to write all about the educamp in this one single post, 'coz it's gonna be so boring, so I'm gonna continue in the Part 2. Do read :)
